22 April is Earth Day

Like our colleagues at the United Nations and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) 🌍Earth Day 🌏 has also got us at the Imperial WHOCC thinking about how we need to care as much for the health of our world as we care for our own health 💚

For everyone, everywhere to be able to live healthy lives we need an integrated, unifying approach that sustainably balances the health of people, animals, and ecosystems ♻ 🌱

Let us advocate for UHE (Universal Healthy Environments) that as well as being free from pollution provide:
- affordable, nutritious, unprocessed food 🌾
- safe spaces for physical activity 🤸‍♂️
- clean air and water 🚰

Our health is inextricably linked to ecological health, this is why the World Health Organization's OneHealth initiative is paramount
